New functionalities expected in version 2.6

We are working on the following functionalities for the next version of ERPsim that we expect to release on June 18th during the training in Montreal for the SAP University Alliance :
  • The automation of production confirmation by ERPsim allows to fix a maximum production capacity for each team
  • The automation of the goods receipts, invoice receipts and invoice payments allows the creation of a time lag between ordering and receiving the raw material. Info-records are now updated automatically.
  • It is now possible to create a lag between the invoicing and the payment by the retailers.
  • The financial statement is now more realistic: we have included fixed assets, SG&A and direct labor cost.

1st International HEC Montréal ERP Simulation Game : June 20th 2007

The academic year is not yet over, but we are planning the 1st International HEC Montréal ERP Simulation Game. We would like to organize this game on Wednesday June 20th in the evening (from 6pm to 10pm eastern). We are looking for 8 teams from different universities that would like to participate in the game. Teams would have up to 5 students and a coach (faculty). The exact rules of the game will be disclosed later next week. We will be using version 2.5 of the game with fixed production capacity. The storyline will be developed by an independent faculty whose university will not be involved in the game. We will manage to have a prize for the winning team. The game will be remotely played by the participants on the HEC server, but since the SAP training at HEC Montréal will be taking place during that week, we will have a crowd of faculty members looking at the live results from the game. It would be interesting to have webcams in each location. We are planning to play 4 quarters, so the game should last about 4 hours. We are looking forward to hear from you. Please confirm rapidly your intention to register a team in this competition.

Successful trial for the production execution module

The production execution module was successfully tried at HEC Montréal and École Polytechnique in March and April. The next release of ERPsim will include this new functionality.
